Accessibility statement for red grouse licence

This policy applies to the content published on the following applications:

These applications are run by NatureScot. We want as many people as possible to be able to use these services. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
  • zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We've also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible these applications are

These applications are partially compliant with level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2).

We are aware of the following issues:

  • some pages require more detailed instructions to help users understand complicated or unfamiliar interfaces
  • some pages do not allow the user to set text style properties without changing the appearance of the text

We are continuing to make improvements to these services and aim to have the above issues fixed by August 2024.
